Quiet morning, we had our breakfast and Robert went for a dip in the pool, while Tracee watched cirque du Soleil on the big screen!
Just before lunch we got off the ship and stood in line for a taxi, which we shared with a sweet retired couple from the US! We headed to downtown Dublin where we had booked a "hop on hop off" tour! Our first stop was Trinity college. We just walked around the grounds and went into the gift shop. It was a crazy line to see the Book of Kells, so we carried on, looking for the whiskey museum, which turned out just to be a bar with a display lol. Lots of walking for not much!
Back on the bus to St. Patrick's cathedral. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!!!! I had a little moment where I was quite overwhelmed! Said a few little prayers - I hope they will be answered! The Cathedral was super busy as well, there's so much to take in! Even the tile work on the floor was absolutely amazing! I'm sure the pictures we took won't do any of it justice!
Next stop was the Guiness Storehouse! The first part of the tour was very interesting? The process of making the beer was quite fascinating! We finished our tour with a pint for Robert and a sampling of three for Tracee. I even drank two of them, the third one was for Robert. Found a few gifts to bring home too!
Back on the bus to get back to the beginning! Where we bought a few drinks and cigarettes..then a taxi back to the terminal!
Once back on the ship we were ravenously hungry! No lunch!! We stuffed ourselves at the buffet! Then off to watch a live interview with Pete Best, who was the first drummer with the Beatles! He has an interesting story! Poor guy missed out on a lot in life!!
